What are the elements of dance?

In What Is Modern Dance?, we develop concepts that are  applicable to all types of dance, whether they are highly technical concert forms like Ballet or Modern, cultural dances developed in a vernacular setting, or social dances like the Waltz or 2-Step. Incorporating imagination, language, music, and movement, students learn to use their own bodies in a creative way and how to pick out details of others' movement, so that they develop an understanding and appreciation of dance.
